Chef Tony A. Sharpe is the new contract executive chef for CafĂ© 458’s Weekend Brunch, a restaurant managed by the Atlanta Center for Self Sufficiency. Chef Tony discovered his love of cooking at an early age during the many hours he spent in the kitchen with his mother, grandmother and grandfather.  After finishing high school Chef Tony left Philadelphia for Bethune Cookman College in Florida, where he studied Business. The following year he traveled to Australia, Mexico, New Zealand, Canada and throughout the United States as a member of UP WITH PEOPLE, an international dance and signing group. During his journeys across the globe, Chef Tony truly discovered his passion for food as he interacted with host families from a myriad of cultural backgrounds. At the end of his engagement Chef Tony decided to pursue a career in culinary arts.

After working in the culinary field for 13 years, Chef Tony enrolled at Le Cordon Blue College of Culinary Arts-Atlanta in 2005. He is classically trained in French, European, Asian and American cooking techniques.  After graduating magna cum laude with perfect attendance, Tony honed his skills at Cherokee Town & Country Club under Certified Master Chef Kevin Walker. During the three years he worked at Cherokee Town & Country Club, he continued to excel in French and American techniques. Today, Chef Tony is a personal chef to former 3-time Super Bowl Champion Rodney Harrison (Safety - New England Patriots), Joe Horn (former Wide Receiver - Atlanta Falcons), Eric Snow (former Point Guard - Cleveland Cavaliers), former 2-time Super Bowl Champion Tony Jones (Offensive Tackle for-Denver Broncos), and Atlanta House Wife NeNe. In addition to being a personal chef to the stars, Chef Tony had the amazing opportunity to cook at the Grammy symposium for Grammy award winning artist T.I. and radio talk show host Ryan Cameron of V-103; most recently he had the privilege of cooking for comedian Rickey Smiley from the Hot 107.9 morning show. As a result of his numerous culinary successes Chef Tony was given the honor of being filmed for the first Alumni success story for Le Cordon Bleu Schools North America.

Chef Tony combines his passion for food and teaching by creating unique and enjoyable culinary classes, team building seminars and culinary events. His classes use only the freshest and finest ingredients available, many from local farmer markets.  Chef Tony and his handcrafted style have brought a new and welcomed vibe to our restaurant and menu.  Along with Cafe 458 favorites, Shrimp and Grits and Southern Comfort French Toast, Chef Tony has also added the innovative entrees: Shrimp and Crab Eggs Benedict, BLT Salmon Salad and Black Bean & Egg Breakfast Sandwich.  Cafe 458 is fortunate to have such a talented chef.
